Be prepared to be ethical In-Person

Introduction to Research Integrity and Ethics

Researchers have to balance multiple interests, responsibilities, deadlines and relationships in research. Adding to this complexity, research has become increasingly regulated, necessitating those researchers to become astute in the relevant legislation and guidelines governing their specific research fields.

This session will introduce the audience to those norms and standards that promote ethical and responsible research conduct. The presenters will speak about Stellenbosch University’s processes for research ethics review of projects that involve human participants, animals and/or research that could be potentially hazardous to the environment.
