Copyright and trademark laws play a critical role throughout the research lifecycle—from the initial planning phase to the dissemination of final outputs. In conducting research, it is critical for scholars not to fall foul copyright laws. Proper permissions and licensing agreements must be secured to avoid infringement and ensure ethical use. This session will delve on how researchers can avoid infringing copyrights and trademark laws before, during and after the research process.
