Five main themes will be addressed during this presentation: 
  • An introduction and definition of Research Impact and why it is important as a researcher to improve your impact.
  • An overview of the different types of impact will be discussed (academic, policy, societal, health, etc.) 
  • Then there will be a section on how to create impact. Here the importance of writing articles for great impact and how to choose the right journal for publishing will form part of the content. 
  • Promote your work. An overview of academic social networking tools and other ways of promoting your work will be showcased. 
  • How to measure your research impact. An overview of the different research metrics and different tools for research evaluation will finally be demonstrated.
