Introduction to SciVal for research evaluation Online

SciVal is Elsevier’s research performance assessment tool that allows the visualisation of research performance, benchmarking relative to peers, and identification and analysis of emerging research trends. The research performance of over 22,000 research institutions from more than 230 nations worldwide can be analysed. This workshop will include an overview of SciVal’s features as well as a hands-on demonstration.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Get started and use SciVal’s different modules and entities
  • Understand the different research metrics available in SciVal
  • Find insights into the institution’s research performance
  • Use SciVal to evaluate performance of researchers and groups
  • Create reports for researchers and groups
  • Use SciVal to compare and benchmark research performance of individuals, groups and universities
  • Explore collaboration between researchers, institutions and countries
