Using a screening tool for systematic and scoping reviews Online

The workshop would introduce participants to an evidence synthesis platform for recording, conducting, and reporting systematic reviews and other evidence synthesis reviews. Attendees will be guided from account setup and project creation through literature import and de-duplication, title/abstract and full-text screening, structured data extraction, and risk-of-bias assessment.

Outcomes:

Participants will:

  • Create and manage a project
  • Successfully import and clean bibliographic records
  • Run document screening workflows 
  • Extract and curate study data using templates
  • Perform basic critical-appraisal workflows
  • Generate reproducible outputs and exportable reports for publication, and apply best practices for versioning 
  • Team collaboration and sharing within open-source evidence-synthesis workflows
