In today's demanding academic climate you must raise your research visibility to remain competitive. This hands-on session will show you how to increase the visibility of your research using social research networks such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu. The use of social media and science communication to increase your visibility as a researcher will also be addressed.

Target audience: Academic staff  and researchers

Outcomes:

 Participants will learn to:

  • Find and navigate social research networks (ResearchGate and Academia.edu, Mendeley, etc.)
  • Develop research profiles
  • Understand how to increase your visibility as researcher
  • Understand the role of science communication and social media
