Be prepared and supported: “The mentor-mentee relationship” In-Person
As a postgraduate student a mentor is an essential human capital that is placed to provide you with tips, resources, knowledge and share his/her wisdom, while effectively supporting your journey to academic and research excellency. The speaker will share a decade long exposure and engagement in research mentorship and research capacity building drawing from his personal experience of an exciting mentor-mentee relationship which, if well nurtured, becomes a permanent collaborative relationship. In the presenter’s own words: “There is nothing one can enjoy more than ‘knowledge generation’ and thus why research is ultimately the powerhouse of academia”.
